Vacancy Full Description : As an Apprentice Team Member, you'll be working for one of the biggest restaurant chains in the world. If you've visited one of our restaurants before, you will probably have an idea of what is involved in working here.

Alongside your day to day training you will be working towards your L2 Hospitality Team Member Standard, which will involve a combination of social learning experience, delivered on a 121 basis in your work place by one of our expert trainers every 4-6 weeks via face to face visits or remotely over telephone or Skype. The apprenticeship is a structured, learner and employer focused development programme designed to create opportunities for lifelong knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Your Daily Duties will include:
Front of house:
To provide genuine hospitality with a smile and sell KFC products to our customers in line with KFC’s high Brand standards. To cook fries and/or other miscellaneous products of the Company in an efficient courteous and friendly manner while keeping the areas and equipment concerned clean and tidy.
Middle/Back of house:
To prepare, cook and assemble KFC products to the expected standards of quality utilising approved operational procedures, whilst maintaining clean and sanitary working conditions and adhering to all food safety management procedures.
16 to 17: £4.50
18 to 20: £6.00
21 to 24: £7.50
25 and over: £7.83

Other Information : The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.90 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £6.15 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.70 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £8.21 for those over 25. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). These rates apply from 1st April 2019.
Things to consider : Due to the nature of the business, handling raw meat, specifically chicken, is a requirement for Back of House staff and if you wish to progress further within the Company. Team Leaders and above would be expected the handle raw meat.
