Vacancy Short Description : To co-ordinate and deliver personal training and nutrition advice to a range of clients.


Qualifications Required : You will need to hold a REPS Level 2 in Personal Training to be considered for this post.
Vacancy Full Description : Develop comprehensive health and fitness programmes for clients. You’ll receive coaching and training on our fitness system and programmes, but you’ll have the flexibility to incorporate your training style and knowledge.

Tracking client progress:
To ensure a client's success in our programmes, you'll need to track weekly progress, current successes and challenges, review client nutrition and exercise log worksheets, and more on a weekly basis. It will be your job to hold a client accountable to his/her health and fitness programme to ensure the best results possible.

Perform fitness evaluations:
Ideally, you'll have some fitness assessment skills and can test for: body composition, body weight, girth measurements, blood pressure, heart rate, and various strength and flexibility tests.

Coach clients through 12-week programmes:
You'll be responsible for weekly exercise sessions and keeping detailed weekly progress reports on the clients you’re working with. If a client is having challenges throughout his/her programme, you'll coach and motivate them, and make appropriate changes to ensure consistent progress.

Coach client through workout
Remind client of next workout
Complete training worksheet in Fitness Builder
Review worksheets with supervisor
Cleaning duties
Assist with the ‘authority marketing’ strategy on a weekly basis
Attend all meetings when requested

Personal Qualities : You will need to be enthusiastic , and have good interpersonal skills, with a good knowledge and passion for exercise.
Skills Required : You will have a reasonable knowledge and understanding of muscular and cardio vascular systems and you will understand how exercise effects health
Future Prospects : The opportunity to have your own clients and to be a full time Personal Trainer
Training to be Provided : Level 2 Apprenticeship in Instructing Exercise and Fitness

Other Information : The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.70 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.90 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.38 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £7.83 for those over 25. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
Things to consider : The role includes shift work and weekend work. Early shifts start at 6 am so you will need to live close or to have your own transport.
