Vacancy Full Description : An exciting opportunity has opened up at a fantastic nursery setting. You will work under the instruction of senior staff to support and assist with the day to day activities of the nursery.
You will have a passion for working with children and have the ability to work as part of a team to provide a safe, stimulating and caring environment that encourages children to learn. You will take part in the day to day responsibility of the care, well-being, monitoring and record keeping whilst maintaining health and safety, and child protection procedures.

The role and responsibilities include:
Care and Education
• To support the nursery team in providing high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.
• To support the nursery team, and develop your own skills in ensuring effective planning, assessment and record keeping for children (both paper and IT based) using the EYFS curriculum for guidance.
• To build positive relationships with the children, parents, carers, colleagues and external professionals.
• To ensure confidentiality, where appropriate, is maintained.
• To promote the welfare of the children and ensure they are kept safe and that Child Protection procedures are followed where necessary.
• To promote the nursery to current and prospective parents.
Our team of highly experienced staff have been carefully selected for their genuine love of children and always undergo thorough Ofsted CRB checks and referencing.
Your training will be in the form of work based learning and be over 12 months. The training is provided by Lifetime Training.

Working Week : 40hrs Mon - Fri 8am-6pm
Weekly Wage : £164.00

Other Information : The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.90 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £6.15 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.70 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £8.21 for those over 25. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). These rates apply from 1st April 2019.
