Vacancy Full Description : The Local Directory is your local, community magazine for Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. Our aim is, and always has been, to connect businesses with their local community, providing a cost-effective way to reach potential new customers.
We are a local company, run by local people serving local communities for over 12 years, printing and hand delivering our popular local magazines. We build awareness of local businesses, promote community events and provide relevant local information.
Companies like yours advertise in our magazines and on our online directory because we keep their profile in front of their target customers, month after month, generating a steady stream of new business. They love our reliable delivery, competitive rates and fantastic service.
Your daily duties will include:
- Assist with graphic design for their 13 publications
- Assist with magazine distribution
- Managing a team of over 160 distributors delivering 112,000 magazines through the door every month
- General admin duties

Working Week : 40 hours per week
Weekly Wage : £200.00

Other Information : The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.90 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £6.15 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.70 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £8.21 for those over 25. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). These rates apply from 1st April 2019.
