Vacancy Short Description : Timber Focus Ltd are now looking for somebody to join their ever-growing team as a Sales Apprentice. Vacancy Full Description : Main Duties.

To assist with online, telephone and face to face sales
To assist with general admin for the business.
To complete any necessary clerical duties e.g. packaging samples for postage & responding to emails as required.
To ensure that files are maintained in an orderly fashion & kept up to date.
To take part in meetings and take minutes of meetings & provide a written record.
To answer the telephone & direct enquiries appropriately.
To visit clients, with the managing director, as required.
To assist with sales from storage and maintain as required.
To assist with the correct receipt and storage of samples or goods delivered to the office, or storage.
To travel to storage to collect or store samples.
To routine handle & move heavy items.
To work within your expected limitations at all times.

General Duties.

To contribute to own personal development plans. Attendance on appropriate training courses.
To partake in bank holidays/ stock-take work
To take care of your own safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
To ensure that you comply with all Health & Safety regulations.

This job description reflects the present requirements of the post, it will be reviewed and revised, with the agreement of the post-holder, annually and when duties and responsibilities change. Such review will normally take place at the annual joint review meeting.

Wages are NMW:
Under 18 = £4.35
18-20 = £6.15
21-24 = £7.70
Over 25 = £8.21
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.
Weekly Wage : £246.00

Must have sound common sense & be adaptable in all situations. Must be prepared to lift and handle heavy goods, complying with Health & Safety.
Must be able to work on own initiative
Must be able to work with all members of staff.

GCSE in Business studies, or equivalent
Experience of working in a team
Experience of working with customers.
Experience of dealing with enquiries over the telephone.
Be familiar with all ‘Office’ applications, spreadsheets, database etc.
Be able to work under pressure.
Be able to work as part of a team.

Other Information : The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.90 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £6.15 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.70 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £8.21 for those over 25. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). These rates apply from 1st April 2019.
