Vacancy Short Description : Working with the head coach, the role will involve designing, marketing and running a new regular coaching workshop in either or all of the individual sports that are involved in triathlon. You will be assisting in our event organising process and delivering successful events as part of our team. Facilitating open training sessions and private venue hire sessions, interacting with paying customers, volunteers and safety teams.

This apprenticeship is part of the Coach Core programme. In each Coach Core location, local employers work in partnership to identify a range of training opportunities, events and workshops for apprentices to access. We worked have with over 150 employers and 500 apprentices across the country. Therefore, whilst successful applicants are based full time with one employer (for between 15-18 months), they are also able to access a range of additional qualifications and events not seen on any other programme of its type. Each Coach Core programme operates with a dedicated full time tutor, who delivers all aspect of the qualification and supports apprentices to put this knowledge into practice at work. Each employer also dedicates a member of staff to support and mentor apprentices, ensuring they gain knowledge and experience from experienced, high quality staff.

Other Information : The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.90 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £6.15 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.70 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £8.21 for those over 25. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). These rates apply from 1st April 2019.
