Vacancy Short Description : Marston’s Pubs are looking for an Assistant Manager Apprentice to join the team; someone with a passion for customer service, who can work under pressure, who will supervise the front of house teams and have accountability for the day-to-day running of the pub.

Vacancy Full Description : As an Assistant Manager Apprentice, you will develop through the Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship in Food and Beverage, as part of the Marston’s Apprenticeship Academy. You will report directly into the General Manager, and, as well as overseeing the successful operation of the pub, in the absence of the General Manager or Deputy Manager, on occasion you will also have the opportunity to carry out relief cover, at your pub or another Marston’s pub, as part of your development.
You will have a structured training programme, comprising of on the job and off the job learning through workplace training, online learning, interactive webinars and masterclass skills workshops. You will gain a nationally recognised qualification, giving you an ideal grounding for a career in the hospitality industry. Throughout your Apprenticeship you will be supported by your Manager and our Apprenticeship provider, so you will be given all the help and advice you need to succeed.
The Assistant Manager Apprentice role will:
• Provide vital support to management teams
• Independently supervise and run shifts
• Motivate, coach and develop the team
• Work under pressure to deliver excellent guest service
Build a good working knowledge of the pub operations

Other Information : The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.90 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £6.15 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.70 for anyone aged 21 to 24 and £8.21 for those over 25. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week). These rates apply from 1st April 2019.
